Waiting for his next delivery. Read a snippet from BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN #romance #LGBTQ #PNR #MPreg #AOB

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all of you who visited my post last weekend! I'm continuing with more BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN, an MPreg Omegaverse Pop Star Shifter Romance, which will be published with Decadent Publishing. Two rounds of edits have been completed, and I have a release date, but no cover yet. This story will release on March 29, 2019. If you are able to host me for a blog tour for this story, please fill out this form.

Set-up: Last weekend, Kish was hiding under a dumpster when the gunman arrived on the scene. TK sent him running in the opposite direction, but TK's manager asked him why he didn't turn over the bunny shifter. That's when TK said he thought Kish was cute.

I'm going to skip the rest of chapter one. Just know that they have no more interactions, and Kish makes it home safely. He also vows to buy as many TK songs as possible (even though he's never listened to his music before), to thank him for saving his life. He never expects to see him again.

In this weekend's snippet from the beginning of chapter two, Kish is at his job. It's just a normal day.... (Creatively edited to fit the ten sentence limit)

I leaned over the desk to catch the breeze from the only fan in the entire office. We didn’t have air conditioning, which was obvious as sweat dripped down the forehead of everyone who was working today. I could feel it dripping down my back as well. I wish I could say outside was better, but the humid air was stagnant, and the area surrounding the office had no trees to provide any shade. I had reached the top of the list again after one delivery this morning, so the next call would be mine. The lunch hour was only minutes away, which always netted us at least a few calls.

Though, when the phone rang, I rolled my eyes. I’d finally started to cool down a bit, and now I’d have to go out into the blazing heat.

“Kish,” Zebus, our dispatcher, said as he set the phone down. “Pick up is at eighty-five West First Ave., La Sandwich Shoppe.”

Bunny Omega on the Run (Shifter Towers book one):

As a pop star, I never expected to find true love. Not in a world where everything is temporary and often fake. But then he ran into me. Not once, but twice. My tiger instantly recognized him as my mate. Now, I just have to convince Kish that what we have is real.

The oldest of ten kids, I saw what my mother went through after my father left. After that, I started taking blockers so I would never go into heat, never have kids. Because love was for the weak. And I was doing just fine on my own.

Then I met TK. Literally smacked right into him. But no matter how much I wanted it to be true, I refused to believe that he could love a bunny shifter from the wrong part of town.

  1. I can't remember--did he do his dumpster hiding at the Sandwich shoppe? There must be something significant. :-) Like that good looking shifter is there. :-)

Hope it's not the people chasing Kish :-)

    1. No, dumpster was not near La Sandwich Shoppe, but it does play a significant role in the story. I'm leading up to it. 😉

  2. I'm a bit confused as to his day job, but I figure it will come out in the story. Right? You do a great job showing the atmosphere. I remember days like that pre-AC.

  8. Does he ride a bike, or does he turn into a bunny and dash around with a little satchel on his back? I kind of want to imagine little bunny shifters zipping across town. Fun snippet.

It's a bit cold this morning and could have used a bit of that heat. lol

    1. Thank you, Michelle! Rainy here, but nothing makes me want heat like in the story.

  12. If the Shoppe's sandwiches come with lettuce and veggies, I fear that our hero may not deliver them intact.
