Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to all of you who visited my post last weekend! I'm continuing with more BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN, an MPreg Omegaverse Pop Star Shifter Romance, which will be published with Decadent Publishing. I just completed the first round of edits for it.
Set-up: Last weekend, Kish leaped away from TK and hid under a dumpster. Then the gunman showed up asking if anyone had seen Kish. I skipped a couple sentences to bring you this snippet, creatively edited to fit the ten sentence limit.
But the wolf shifter shook his head. “Why did send that guy in the wrong direction? That punk did him wrong, and he shed all over your outfit. You should have let the dumb bunny suffer.”
“I don’t think so.” TK glanced toward the dumpster as if looking for me. “He was running for his life, not because he cheated someone, plus, he was kind of cute.”
Bunny Omega on the Run (Shifter Towers book one):
As a pop star, I never expected to find true love. Not in a world where everything is temporary and often fake. But then he ran into me. Not once, but twice. My tiger instantly recognized him as my mate. Now, I just have to convince Kish that what we have is real.
The oldest of ten kids, I saw what my mother went through after my father left. After that, I started taking blockers so I would never go into heat, never have kids. Because love was for the weak. And I was doing just fine on my own.
Then I met TK. Literally smacked right into him. But no matter how much I wanted it to be true, I refused to believe that he could love a bunny shifter from the wrong part of town.

Clearly, being a cute shifter can be preferable to being a fearsome shifter. Everyone love an underbunny, right?
ReplyDeleteLOL Not everyone, but TK is certainly smitten with him.
DeleteBeing cute certainly has its advantages. Who could resist a bunny?
ReplyDeleteThe wolves sure can, but obviously not TK.
DeleteWhew! Cuteness has its perks. I'm still not sure about that wolf shifter. lol
ReplyDeleteAs TK's manager, the wolf shifter will appear many times in this story.
DeleteLove it. I learned Cuteness counts all the years in show business and that phrase still lives!
ReplyDeleteThank you! But cuteness, like many things, is subjective.
DeleteYes, he's definitely cute.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!
DeleteWhat's going to happen now? I'm still worried the wolf wants to have him for lunch.
ReplyDeleteSo many things! This is only the first scene of chapter one.
Delete"Kind of cute" - oh yessss, here's where it all starts LOL. Enjoyed the excerpt!
ReplyDeleteExactly! Thank you, Veronica!
DeleteHe's got the alpha on his side, but I bet those wolves are still going to be trouble.
ReplyDeleteYou may be right. He only has the alpha tiger on his side. None of the wolves, and he encounters them many times in this story.
DeleteSo he's cute, is he? :) Can't wait to find out more.
ReplyDeleteIn TK's opinion, yes.
DeleteHe's cute! Enuf said. Bunny has bagged a big bad wolf.
ReplyDeleteNot any of the wolves. Just the alpha tiger.
DeleteSounds like cuteness might have saved Bunny's life!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! For now, anyway.
DeleteI hope the wolf doesn't come back to retaliate, but the cute bunny does ;)
ReplyDeleteMore on that next weekend...
DeleteGood misdirection. Cute bunny! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, TK definitely saved Kish's life.
DeleteI love that add on at the end. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd that add on is how the real story begins. ;)
