Claimed then abandoned. Read a snippet from PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE #8Sunday #romance #MLM #PNR #MPreg #ShifterTowers

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to everyone who visited me last weekend! This weekend, I'm continuing with a snippet from the third story in my Shifter Towers series, PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE. It's an MM MPreg Shifter Romance. The story is available in both ebook and print. This will be the last snippet from this story. If I get enough writing done, I will share a snippet from the next story in this series, HIS OMEGA ON STAGE. Otherwise, I will take a couple weeks off until I have finished the story and am ready to start sharing.

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Yoni arrived to take Milo out for their one-month anniversary, and Milo's son said his first word, which was a version of Yoni. I'm skipping their date at the spa and them being fully intimate for the first time. Let's just say everything in their relationship was going great. Until....

Three days. It had been three days since I’d heard anything from Yoni. He’d dropped me at home the morning after we’d spent the night together. An hour later, he sent a text.

Emergency back home. Don’t know how long I’ll be gone. I’ll call you when I get there.

I had no idea whether something had happened to him on the way or if he was just too busy to think about me. All my calls and texts went unanswered. I didn’t know if he’d really left.

**That's ten, but I've included a little more of the scene below.**

Work only made my mood worse. Sure, for a few hours I forgot about the fact my mate had abandoned me after claiming me, but with Randall as my shift manager, time at NJ Foods was an even worse hell. I was back to being a stock boy yet spent more time cleaning up avalanched produce and smelly bathrooms. I doubted today would be much different.

As soon as I walked through the entrance, Randall handed me a mop. “Someone plugged the toilet and it overflowed all over the bathroom. Have fun!”

His smirk made me want to whack him with the mop handle. Yet, I held everything I wanted to do and say in. I needed this job.

**There's a lot of change about to happen for Milo in the last few chapters. If you want to know what happens to him, and where Yoni disappeared to, be sure to read PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE.

Milo
My mate died in a horrible car crash the night after he claimed me. I didn’t know I was pregnant with his child until he was buried in the ground. Luckily, my brother and his family supported me through it all. Now, it’s time for me to earn my keep. I’m going back to work. Not only to earn money, but to have a social life again. Even if just during the hours I’m at my job. Because I’m nowhere near ready for another relationship. Not sure I ever will be.

Yoni
I moved to Saramto to take a paid intern position at the local news station. My first time living in such a big city. And as the time limit on my contract kept looming closer, I hoped to come across something to keep me here. Nothing did. Until I met Milo and his adorable son. Now, I want them to be mine and I have no desire to leave. But my time is drawing near. While I pray for some miracle to come along and let me stay, I must find a way to tell Milo I have to go.

Odega's first words. Read a snippet from PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE #romance #MLM #PNR #MPreg #omegaverse #8Sunday

Only a couple more from this story before I switch to a new one.

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Yoni finally stood up to his father. I'm skipping ahead to the next chapter where Yoni is taking Milo out for their one-month anniversary. He's arrived at Milo's to pick him up. This is in Milo's point of view.

Yoni knocked on the door, and when I opened it, he held out a bouquet of pink roses. “For you.”

My cheeks warmed, and I smiled. “Come in. I’ll put them in a vase before we go.”

I found a container in the “glass” cabinet. All the dishes inside sat unused because of all the kids in the house. And as I filled the vase with water, Odega babbled in the other room.

“Oh, oh, oh!”

I turned around to see him holding his arms out toward Yoni.

**That's ten, but I've included a little more of the scene below.**

The vase fell out of my hand and plunked into the sink. Thank goodness it didn’t break.

My heart raced. Had my son really been trying to say my boyfriend’s name? Not “Daddy?” Not even “no,” which he heard a lot?

And then Odega called for him again, opening and closing his fists as he did it.

“Looks like you have more than one fan in this house.” My brother lifted my son to his feet. “Wanna see him while you wait for my brother? Sounds like he’s making a mess in the kitchen. I think I should help him.”

Will the alpha stand up for himself? Read a snippet from PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE #romance #MLM #MPreg #PNR #8Sunday

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Yoni's father showed up to visit him unexpectedly. I'm skipping ahead to the next day after Yoni went to church with his father, where is father tried to get numbers of available omegas for him, knowing Yoni already had someone. (In Yoni's POV, but the first line is his father's.)

“Here.” He slapped a piece of paper onto my desk. “Since you weren’t brave enough to get any numbers yourself, I got some for you. Really, I think they got it wrong when you were tested as an alpha.”

I rubbed my forehead, willing him to go away, find something else to do instead of hovering over me. I didn’t want to argue but was straining to hold in my temper. “I need to work right now. I’ll deal with those numbers later.” Which meant throwing them in the trash.

“It’s Sunday.”

**That's ten, but I've included a little more of the scene below.**

He tried to spin my chair around, but I planted my feet hard on the floor. “You’re not supposed to be working. And you have a guest in your home. It’s rude to ignore me.”

“Then leave.” I said it quietly, not even sure if I’d actually said it out loud until I heard my father scoff.

“You want me to leave?”

The hurt in his voice, and the guilt from having caused it, made me choose my next words carefully, instead of blurting out exactly what was going through my mind. “I have a job and a boyfriend. Regardless of what you think of either of them, they were my choice to make. If you don’t like those facts, you can either keep quiet about them while you’re here, or you can leave. That is your choice.”

He clicked his tongue then released a heavy sigh. “I can’t believe you would talk to me, your own father, like that. Fine. If you don’t want me here, I’ll leave.”

Maybe I should have stopped him, but I didn’t. As an adult, I got to make my own decisions, and even if they were a mistake, they were my mistakes to make. His constant meddling was why I had been anxious to leave my hometown in the first place.

He paused on his way out the door and looked at me. “You’re always welcome in Bolton.”

I nodded. “Have a safe trip.” Visiting was one thing, but I would never move back to the town I grew up in.
