Space Racers don't have time for a serious relationship. Read a snippet from VAWN #Romance #SciFiRom #SFR #MMRomance #MPreg #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! This weekend, I'm sharing the another snippet from VAWN, the first book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. The story is finished and has been submitted.

Set-up: Last weekend I introduced you to Ojokun. He was running late to meet the guests arriving for the Family & Friends weekend.

This weekend I'm skipping a couple sentences, but answering some of your questions from last weekend. Plus, I'm introducing a couple of Ojokun's space racer teammates. Enjoy!

None of us had time for a serious relationship, and even if we did, we faced danger and possible death with every race. We thrived on adrenaline, something that didn’t match well with a committed relationship, and especially not with a family.

It had been at least a couple years since anyone on my team had left HQ to visit their parents or siblings. I didn’t know why I was labeled a ‘bad guy’ when I was more honest than any of them. The only part I hated was having a one-night stand who refused to accept I’d been telling the truth when I’d said I didn’t do relationships. They would refuse to leave my room in the morning without my contact information. But my teammates usually helped me out of those awkward situations.

Speaking of them, I saw two of the members I raced with as I sped through the automatic doors and into the main lobby. I knew Xac and Qé weren’t looking to pick up anyone. They were created on their home planet of Kcalb without any sexual feelings, but were a bonded pair in every other way. They were likely here to help any lost passengers.

Vawn doesn’t need a mate. He’s already established himself universe-wide as a hot name in fashion, while raising his daughter. But he won’t say no to a fling with a hot space racer when he travels to Eurebly to visit his brothers. One night. That’s all he can give. Because his heart shattered when he lost his previous alpha, and he hasn’t been able to repair it completely. He refuses to love someone like that ever again.

Ojokun survived on Jenegath in order to leave the planet and become the best space racer in the universe. Though he flies with a team, he’s never depended on anyone outside of his jet. He keeps to himself. Has one-night stands, just like every other space racer. But, after a mind-blowing night with the brother of two of his teammates, he can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous omega, or the foreign longing that scares him more than his overly-protective teammates.

Can Ojokun convince Vawn that he wants more than one night? Or is that all they were ever meant to be?

He was looking for an escape. In her, he found his home. A RELUCTANT ATTRACTION by @LeoRosanna #Romance #NewRelease #Handymen

A RELUCTANT ATTRACTION

Handymen 3

by Rosanna Leo

Release Date: April 20, 2021

Publisher: Totally Bound Publishing

He was looking for an escape. In her, he found his home.

Contractor and Handymen host Nick Zorn needs a change. He’s been feeling listless, and when his ex-girlfriend embarrasses him in a viral post by sharing private details of their sex life, he’s downright ready to escape. When an opportunity to reinvent his career arises, Nick takes it, even though it might mean the end of Handymen. However, the team has one more project to tackle together first—a struggling cat sanctuary in dire need of renovation.

When Nick arrives at the shelter and meets its owner, a lovely widow named Claire, his life is once more thrown into disarray. Neither of them is looking for a relationship, but the attraction is fierce. As he helps Claire fix her workplace, he realizes he wants to help her in other ways too. Their flirtation sizzles, flaring into a friends-with-benefits arrangement.

But the more time they spend together, the more reluctant these ‘friends’ become to fight their deepening connection, even though they know their inevitable break will devastate them…

Damn, he’d never been so at a loss for words around a woman.

She was just so lovely. No, not just lovely. She looked fucking hot, to be perfectly honest. She’d worn her hair down, and the chocolate waves danced around her shoulders. Her jeans were like a second skin, emphasizing every curve. She wasn’t wearing one of her usual slogan T-shirts. Instead, she’d put on a silky black blouse, one that hugged her breasts. Although she’d been wearing ballet slippers earlier, she’d slipped them off when everyone went home. She now went barefoot in the house, but her toenails were painted a vibrant pink.

They were the sexiest feet he’d ever seen.

Claire didn’t wear a lot of jewelry, from what he’d seen so far, and tonight was no difference. Her only ornamentation was a silver bracelet that dangled around her slim wrist, and some sparkly earrings.

And her wedding rings, of course.

“I hope you enjoyed the party,” she said, her voice soft and sexy. He could just imagine what it would be like to have a voice like that whispering in his ear first thing in the morning, as they snuggled in bed.

Naked, of course.

Anytime he pictured himself snuggling with Claire, and he’d begun to imagine it a lot, they were always naked.

“I did, thanks.” His throat was parched, and no matter how often he cleared it, it didn’t help. “Do you mind if I get myself some water?”

“Here, let me.” She filled a glass.

As Claire turned to hand it to him, she must not have realized he had already stepped closer. Their arms connected at an odd angle and the water splashed out of the glass, all over the front of his shirt.

It clung to his gut, as if he was a contender in a wet T-shirt contest.

“Ohmigosh. I’m so sorry.”

Nick plucked at his shirt. “It’s okay, really. I was kind of hot anyway.”

Claire looked at the wet patch and let out a strange laugh.

She was totally checking him out.

Interesting.

Grateful for that ab routine his trainer had given him, Nick reached for a couple of paper towels and dried himself off as best as possible.

“I could get you another shirt, if you’re uncomfortable.”

“I’m fine, thanks. It’s just water. It’ll dry.”

“Of course. I’m sure you’d rather not dress up in my dead husband’s clothes.” She pulled a face. “I’m sorry. That was meant to be internal monologue. Ugh. I’m not very good at this.”

“Oh, yeah?” Nick chuckled. “What’s this, exactly?”

“You know.”

“I’m not sure I know. I might need you to spell it out.” He drew closer, so close her perfume teased him with its sweetness.

She swallowed. “Chatting up wet men.”

Another step closer. “I only see one man here.”

“You, then,” Claire said on a breath. “I’ve been trying to chat you up all night, and failing miserably.”

“Ah. I should probably let you know you haven’t been failing at all. You have all my attention.”

Her sparkly lips formed an ‘O,’ although no sound emerged.

“If all it took was a glass of water, Claire, I would have drenched myself some time ago.”

Ojokun is running late! Read a snippet from VAWN #Romance #SciFiRom #SFRomance #MLM #MPreg #MMRomance #8Sunday

Set-up: Last weekend, and the two before then, I introduced you to Vawn, his daughter, Enif, and his best friend, Utahn. This weekend, I'm introducing the other main character of the story, Ojokun. He is a space racer on the same team as Vawn's older brothers. Enjoy!

Late! I was going to be late for the arrival of the flight of guests arriving from quadrant one. I grabbed my shirt from the weight rack and fumbled to put it on as I raced toward the spaceport. Normally, I waited until the special club night to find someone to spend the night with, but these guests weren’t just fans. They were also friends and family members of my fellow racers. I had to make an impression before they were warned to stay away from me.

I ran two blocks before I could see the spaceport up ahead. There were so many racers boarding hovers, already leaving with their guests toward their respective dorms. Shit! I’d hoped to have prime selection.

You can always count on your best friend. Read a snippet from VAWN #Romance #SFR #SciFiRom #MPreg #MLM #MMRomance #8Sunday

Also, I finally have a blurb. It's below the snippet. Let me know what you think.

Set-up: This weekend's snippet continues from last weekend. I want to introduce you to Vawn's best friend, Utahn, before I skip ahead so you can meet Vawn's future love interest, Ojokun. Enjoy!

“I’ll help you fly.” Utahn came up behind my daughter and flipped her up so her stomach was on his shoulder. Then he ran down the hallway.

My daughter giggled and squeed until Utahn put her back down and stared at me with his hands on his hips. “You ready to go?”

“I think so.” I scrolled through my mental checklist and hoped I wasn’t forgetting anything. “I’ve got my tickets, my communicator and charging pad, suppressants, and enough clothes for two people. I hope that’s enough.”

“A can of mesodenka?”

**That's ten, and here's a bit more...**

Utahn wiggled his brows at me. “You need other protection. Suppressants aren’t enough. You never know who else these space racers have been with.”

“Po-tec-shun? Fwom what?” Enif stared up at me with her bottom lip sticking out.” I sought space racers were good guys.”

“They are.” I crouched down in front of her, wishing my best friend had kept his mouth shut. “But don’t worry. If there are any bad racers, your uncles will protect me from them.”

I hugged my daughter while glaring over her shoulder at Utahn. “I love you, Ennie. And I’m going to miss you so much while I’m gone.”

“Don’t wowwie, Daddy.” She squeezed me tight. “I be good for Utahn.”

Chatting with his daughter. Read a snippet from VAWN #Romance #SciFiRom #SFRomance #MPreg #MLM #MMRomance #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! This weekend, I'm sharing the another snippet from VAWN, the first book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. The story is finished and I'm self-editing right now, so any feedback would be helpful.

Set-up: This snippet continues from last weekend. It's ten plus a couple more. Enjoy!

“I don’t think so.” I ruffled her sandy-blond hair, the same color as mine, before clutching the handle of my case and heading out of my room. “I think your uncles may let me sit in theirs, but they would never let me fly them.”

“What ’bout me?” She stuck out her arms and raced up and down the hallway. “Do you sink de’ll let me fwy?”

“Uncle Ret told you he’d give you lessons as soon as you get your license to fly.” Originally, I’d planned to take Enif with me, but my best friend, Utahn, whom I shared a house with, said I needed to get away on my own for once. He said he’d take care of my daughter, and already had my parents on standby if there was an emergency.

“But dat’s….” She haphazardly counted on her fingers. “Firteen years from now. I wanna fwy now!”
