Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to everyone who visited me last weekend! This weekend, I'm continuing with a snippet from the third story in my Shifter Towers series, PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE. It's an MM MPreg Shifter Romance. The story is available in both ebook and print. This will be the last snippet from this story. If I get enough writing done, I will share a snippet from the next story in this series, HIS OMEGA ON STAGE. Otherwise, I will take a couple weeks off until I have finished the story and am ready to start sharing.
Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Yoni arrived to take Milo out for their one-month anniversary, and Milo's son said his first word, which was a version of Yoni. I'm skipping their date at the spa and them being fully intimate for the first time. Let's just say everything in their relationship was going great. Until....
Three days. It had been three days since I’d heard anything from Yoni. He’d dropped me at home the morning after we’d spent the night together. An hour later, he sent a text.
Emergency back home. Don’t know how long I’ll be gone. I’ll call you when I get there.
I had no idea whether something had happened to him on the way or if he was just too busy to think about me. All my calls and texts went unanswered. I didn’t know if he’d really left.
**That's ten, but I've included a little more of the scene below.**
Work only made my mood worse. Sure, for a few hours I forgot about the fact my mate had abandoned me after claiming me, but with Randall as my shift manager, time at NJ Foods was an even worse hell. I was back to being a stock boy yet spent more time cleaning up avalanched produce and smelly bathrooms. I doubted today would be much different.
As soon as I walked through the entrance, Randall handed me a mop. “Someone plugged the toilet and it overflowed all over the bathroom. Have fun!”
His smirk made me want to whack him with the mop handle. Yet, I held everything I wanted to do and say in. I needed this job.
**There's a lot of change about to happen for Milo in the last few chapters. If you want to know what happens to him, and where Yoni disappeared to, be sure to read PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE.
PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE
Shifter Towers book three
Milo
My mate died in a horrible car crash the night after he claimed me. I didn’t know I was pregnant with his child until he was buried in the ground. Luckily, my brother and his family supported me through it all. Now, it’s time for me to earn my keep. I’m going back to work. Not only to earn money, but to have a social life again. Even if just during the hours I’m at my job. Because I’m nowhere near ready for another relationship. Not sure I ever will be.
Yoni
I moved to Saramto to take a paid intern position at the local news station. My first time living in such a big city. And as the time limit on my contract kept looming closer, I hoped to come across something to keep me here. Nothing did. Until I met Milo and his adorable son. Now, I want them to be mine and I have no desire to leave. But my time is drawing near. While I pray for some miracle to come along and let me stay, I must find a way to tell Milo I have to go.
Pika Omega Plus One is a sweet with knotty heat shifter mm mpreg romance. It is book three in the popular Shifter Towers Series.

Love it big time, my friend. Your snippets are always delightful.
ReplyDeleteIt's gotta be tough holding his temper. I wonder if it will last.
ReplyDeleteHis luck is about to change, but not in the way he hopes and expects.
DeleteI do want to know more. :-) Just bought it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Teresa! Hope you enjoy it!!
DeleteThe last snippet, yet I never heard him whistle even once. I used to come across pikas from time to time up above treeline. It was hard to see them, but hear them? Wow they whistle loudly!
ReplyDeleteLOL Yeah, he's not in his shifted form in any of the snippets I shared.
DeleteNothing like kicking someone when they are done - plugged toilets - ugh!
ReplyDeleteTweeted.
Yeah, definitely not a situation anyone wants to be in. Thank you!
DeleteThis is about as down as he can get (I hope!), so hopefully Yoni will return to the scene and take him away from Randall and this horrible job. Great job making us care so much about this character. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, this is the lowest of the low for Milo. Things start to get better soon. But, Yoni is a little occupied at the moment.
DeleteWhat a miserable life - his boyfriend leaves and he still has to work for an abusive boss.
ReplyDeleteNot for long though
DeletePoor guy! What a rotten way to start a day. I hope things pick up for him soon.
ReplyDeleteThey do start to get better very soon.
DeleteThere's a "Randall" at every workplace, I think. Sigh. Enjoyed the excerpt...felt very real life.
ReplyDeleteVery true! Thank you, Veronica! That's what I was hoping for.
DeletePoor guy just can't catch a break. But I'm thinking a big one's coming his way soon. And I hope there's a comeuppance for Randall when it does!
ReplyDeleteThings do get better for Milo soon, but Randall will always remain Randall. Even in the next book.
DeleteNow I'm curious what is going on with Yoni.
ReplyDeleteHe's indisposed right now, and isn't available to anyone. But, he'll be back.
DeleteUgh this set off my own anxiety, poor Milo. Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteSorry! This whole story involves some of my own personal frustrations. Some current, and some from my past. Thanks, Brittany!
