Will Jun leave or accept Ash's invitation inside? Read a snippet from HIS OMEGA ON STAGE #Romance #MPreg #PNR #Omegaverse #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! I've been sharing snippets from the fourth book in my Shifter Towers series, HIS OMEGA ON STAGE, which has now released! Like all the other books in this series, it is an MM paranormal romance. And I'm excited to announce that the next book in the series, DEMON ON JACKSON STREET, will release January 18, 2021. But, I'll start releasing snippets from that in a few weeks.

**For those of you who were curious about Ash's condition mentioned in previous snippets, I wrote a post about it here.**

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Jun saw Ash after not having any communication with him for three weeks. At the end of the snippet, Ash asked if Jun could give him a ride home.

Well, with some reluctance, Jun agreed. This weekend, I'm skipping ahead a bit to where Jun is ready to drop Ash off and leave. Enjoy!

But he squeezed me tighter and pointed to a garage ahead, where the door was opening. “Park inside and come up for something to eat. Please.”

After a deep breath, I steered my bike into the garage. I had so many doubts about going up to his apartment, but I was hungry. And maybe I was willing to give whatever we had a second chance. But only because Ash hadn’t done anything wrong.

Ash pointed me to his empty spot in the underground garage. As soon as I’d parked, he gave me a quick squeeze then jumped off the back. I barely had time to turn off my bike and get off before he was tugging me toward the elevator.

**That's ten, but here's a little more for your reading pleasure.**

On the way, we passed a red Lexus RC F with the licence plate TIGER, and beside it, a Mercedes-Benz EQC plated BUNNY. I was pretty sure I knew who they belonged to, and as nice as they’d been to me, I felt even more out of place knowing they lived here.

“Ash, you’re sure this is okay?”

He rolled his eyes at me. “Will you stop already?” He dropped my hand. “If you wanna go, then go. But, I have pizza ordered already and on the way. Plus, I thought that I could actually spend some time with my friend away from work. But maybe I was wrong about you all along.”

Shit. My chest constricted at his words. Why did what he thought matter to me so much? Before I’d been his personal guard, I hadn’t cared what anyone except my boss thought of me. What was so special about Ash?

“Fine.” I caught up to him. “But only because you owe me a meal.”

HIS OMEGA ON STAGE
Shifter Towers book four

Jun
For leopard cat shifter, Jun, being the rogue alpha in high school hadn’t helped him as an adult. Though he sometimes believed he was ready to find a mate, past experiences taught him that those he loves eventually leave him. So, he protects his heart by seeing omegas looking for nothing more than a one-night stand. Until he runs into someone from his past.

Ash
As the first omega signed to Adan Records, AI is anxious for the release of his debut album. Being a leopard cat shifter instead of an actual leopard like the rest of his family has always made him feel small and insignificant. But now he’s about to shine bright in front of the world, all on his own, without an alpha by his side. He doesn’t need one, and definitely doesn’t have time for one. Though when he runs into someone from his past who knows him as Ash, he wants to give this alpha all of his attention.

On Stage
But with all the problems that fame brings, will Ash be able to make a relationship work? Will Jun fight for the omega he’s sure is his fated mate? Or will they let each other slip away, believing what they have isn’t enough?

  1. I hope their relationship gets closer during this unofficial date. It seems like it's one step forward and one step back for these two.

    1. It has been like that for them, but as for what happens on this night, I'm saving that for next weekend. 😉

  2. Hey, if he doesn't want the pizza, I will happily take his place lol. Hoping these two are able to bond a little more over delicious cheesy goodness. Great snippet, and congrats on your release!

  3. Only because of the meal . . . right. Or maybe that's how he plans to justify being right what he wants to be!

    1. That's what he's telling himself to appease his doubts.

  4. Interesting - only cause he owes me a meal - is he joking or is something else going on in his head??

    1. He still has doubts about the possibility of a relationship, so that's how he's justifying going up to Ash's apartment.

  5. There's no way he can resist Ash and pizza. Are you sure we have to wait until next weekend to find out what happens??

  8. Hope the release is going well! That last line (about owing a meal) really highlights how Jun is trying to keep it light and struggling to place this whole thing. Really enjoyed the snippet.

  9. His behavior and hesitations are so very Omega-like. Excellent job showing he's an Omega instead of just telling us.

    1. Oh, but he's the alpha. Their roles are reversed in this story, on purpose.

  11. Jun needs to get over this and just accept that Ash likes him for him. I hope the pizza leads to a lot more! Great snippet!

  12. This reminded me of that pick up line, "Want to come back to my place for pizza and sex?...Why, you don't like pizza?" :D

    Congrats on the release!
