After the concert.... Read a snippet from HIS OMEGA ON STAGE #Romance #MPreg #PNR #MLM #Omegaverse #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! I've been sharing snippets from the fourth book in my Shifter Towers series, HIS OMEGA ON STAGE, which will release through Decadent Publishing On NOVEMBER 30! Like all the other books in this series, it is an MM paranormal romance.

**I am looking for blogs to visit for this release, so if you have room on your blog, and would like to host me on or after November 30, please let me know. Thank you!**

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Ash invited Jun to watch his first concert performance from backstage. This weekend, I'm skipping ahead to after the concert. Enjoy!

“So, how was I?” After performing three of my songs and a final all-artist performance, the concert was finished, and I was anxious to know what Jun thought. The fans had been wild, screaming and singing along with every set, but I knew their opinions about me and the other Adan artists would be posted all over social media, along with picture and videos. Right now, I wanted to know what Jun thought.

He gripped the sides of my arms. “Wow, you haven’t stopped bouncing since your first set. Did you load up on caffeine before the concert or something?”

“Jun, I just wanna know what you thought.” I hadn’t meant my words to come out as a whine, or to be bouncing. I needed his opinion on my performance more than anything.

**That's ten, but here's a little more for your reading pleasure.**

He raised his eyebrows then smiled, still holding onto me. “You were great. I could tell you were a bit nervous during the first verse of Always Running, but you quickly found your confidence and looked so comfortable on stage. Not only are you an amazing singer, but you’re a natural performer.”

I stepped closer and hugged him. “Thank you, I’m so glad you came today. Knowing you were watching from the side helped calm my nerves.” And it had. At first the sight and scent of Jun made me nervous, but sleeping with his scent on my hoodie last night, and then seeing him again today had eased so much of my anxiety. I’d been so careful about my condition, making sure I ate beforehand, but not too much, so nothing happened on stage. But sometimes my waves of dizziness were unpredictable. Though once on stage, it was the last thing on my mind.

Jun returned my hug then turned to my side and rubbed my back. “You did amazing. I’m proud of you.”

HIS OMEGA ON STAGE
Shifter Towers book four

Jun
For leopard cat shifter, Jun, being the rogue alpha in high school hadn’t helped him as an adult. Though he sometimes believed he was ready to find a mate, past experiences taught him that those he loves eventually leave him. So, he protects his heart by seeing omegas looking for nothing more than a one-night stand. Until he runs into someone from his past.

Ash
As the first omega signed to Adan Records, AI is anxious for the release of his debut album. Being a leopard cat shifter instead of an actual leopard like the rest of his family has always made him feel small and insignificant. But now he’s about to shine bright in front of the world, all on his own, without an alpha by his side. He doesn’t need one, and definitely doesn’t have time for one. Though when he runs into someone from his past who knows him as Ash, he wants to give this alpha all of his attention.

On Stage
But with all the problems that fame brings, will Ash be able to make a relationship work? Will Jun fight for the omega he’s sure is his fated mate? Or will they just let each other slip away, believing what they have just isn’t enough?

  1. He's a little needy - wanting Jun's reassurance. Maybe due to his condition?

    1. It's more because he really doesn't have any friend or family support outside of the industry, so he wants Jun to fill that void.

  2. I'm glad the concert went off okay. I agree with Aurora - he does seem needy! But I enjoyed the snippet. They're very good together!

  4. I wonder what this condition is that he's trying to manage? Was this mentioned in an earlier snippet, maybe?

    1. It's a condition mentioned earlier in the story, but he doesn't want anyone to know about it. Though it comes into play a couple times later in the story.

  5. Its funny how once we fall for someone, their opinion is worth more than a crowd. This really captures that truth. Also, I'm happy to host you on my blog. I just relaunched it to focus on pairing wine and romance, so I will ask you to recommend a wine to drink with your book for the the blog. sharielderbooks@gmail.com

  7. I could see him bouncing with excitement! It's sweet that Jun gives him so much comfort. I'm also wondering what his condition is and wondering if I missed something.

    1. No, I just don't think I included the brief bit about his condition. It doesn't come into play until later in the story.

  9. Performers can get really edgy before a performance. I'm glad Jun helped him take the edge off. Excellent snippet!

  10. Great snippet. He seems to need Jun's opinion. Makes me wonder why it is so important.

    1. Jun is the friend/family support he doesn't get anywhere else.

  11. He's more interested in whether he impressed Jun than with knowing how he really did -- because friends can be quite prejudiced, you know!

I apologize for being so late commenting on your post. NaNoWriMo got in the way.

    1. No worries, Ed! I've been busy with other things, too, and just got around to reading the rest of the comments now.

He's pretty sure Jun will be honest with him.
