Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! I've been sharing snippets from the fourth book in my Shifter Towers series, HIS OMEGA ON STAGE, which will release through Decadent Publishing On NOVEMBER 30! Like all the other books in this series, it is an MM paranormal romance.
**I am still looking for blogs to visit for this release, so if you have room on your blog, and would like to host me on or after November 30, please let me know. Thank you!**
Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Ash finished the concert, and was anxious to know what Jun thought.
This weekend, I'm skipping ahead in this chapter. Ash invited Jun to go to dinner with him, the other artists, and their managers. While Jun was reluctant because he feels out of place with them, he agreed for Ash's sake. Well, things don't go as Ash had hoped. They picked their food from a buffet-style setup, and Ash has gone to the bathroom before they all sat down to eat. FYI, Phons is Ash's manager. Enjoy!
When I got there, he was gone. Plate full. Steak untouched. Had he come looking for me and I’d missed him in passing?
“Where’d Jun go?” I glanced around the table, waiting for an answer. Envi and TK wouldn’t look at me while Kish chewed on his bottom lip.
“He left.” Phons cut a piece of his own steak. “Said he forgot about another commitment.”
**That's ten, but here's a little more for your reading pleasure.**
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw TK shake his head while Kish reached over for him. What was going on?
“Did Harold drive him home?”
“Nope. He just took off.” Phons forked the meat into his mouth and began to chew it.
I checked my phone for a message from Jun, but there was nothing. I had no idea what had happened while I was gone, but I suddenly felt numb. “I want to go home.”
Phons pointed his fork at me. “No, you need to eat. Take a seat.”
“I’m not hungry.” My eyes began to burn with the onset of tears. I backed away from the table. “I need to go home.”
Without waiting for a response, I left the restaurant and searched for my driver parked nearby. Cameras flashed as I shoved my way through the media, but I didn’t care. I needed to get away.
HIS OMEGA ON STAGE
Shifter Towers book four
Jun
For leopard cat shifter, Jun, being the rogue alpha in high school hadn’t helped him as an adult. Though he sometimes believed he was ready to find a mate, past experiences taught him that those he loves eventually leave him. So, he protects his heart by seeing omegas looking for nothing more than a one-night stand. Until he runs into someone from his past.
Ash
As the first omega signed to Adan Records, AI is anxious for the release of his debut album. Being a leopard cat shifter instead of an actual leopard like the rest of his family has always made him feel small and insignificant. But now he’s about to shine bright in front of the world, all on his own, without an alpha by his side. He doesn’t need one, and definitely doesn’t have time for one. Though when he runs into someone from his past who knows him as Ash, he wants to give this alpha all of his attention.
On Stage
But with all the problems that fame brings, will Ash be able to make a relationship work? Will Jun fight for the omega he’s sure is his fated mate? Or will they let each other slip away, believing what they have isn’t enough?RELEASES NOVEMBER 30, 2020!

Hmmm, does he really have another commitment, or is he running scared? I feel bad for Ash.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the upcoming release!
The answer is neither. I'll reveal the reason next weekend.
DeleteThank you, Teresa!
This is a sad, threatening kind of scene, and you've made me feel what Ash feels.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ed!
DeleteLove the emotions in this scene. You did a great job getting into Ash's head. Congrats on the upcoming release!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Julie!
DeleteYou've really captured the sinking feeling Ash has when he realizes Jun is gone. We've all had that visceral reaction when plans go wrong. I hope they get this straightened out. Congratulations on the upcoming release!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenna! Tune in next weekend!
DeleteUh, oh. Someone clearly said the wrong thing, or things. I'm glad Ash didn't just accept things and sit down.
ReplyDeleteOh, and this is Alexis. For some reason Blogger doesn't want to recognize me today.
DeleteYes, someone indeed said something they shouldn't have.
DeleteNot a good development at all. A little heart wrenching but a well done snippet!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Veronica!
DeleteQuite an emotional scene.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aurora!
DeleteWell done. I really feel for Ash. Its always so hard at the beginning.
ReplyDeleteVery emotional. You feel bad for Ash.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sorry for Ash. Emotional scene.
ReplyDeleteUgh, poor Ash. And poor Jun too, because something had to chase him off. I hope they can work through it.
