Hoping for a different answer this time. Read an excerpt from MEMORIES OF US #Romance #MMRomance #MPreg #PNR #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to everyone who visited my blog last weekend! This weekend I'm sharing one last excerpt from MEMORIES OF US, an MPreg MM Shifter Romance that is part of my Shifter Towers series. It is available as part of a limited-time MPreg collection called SPECIAL DELIVERY: SUMMER. Next weekend, I'll switch back to VAWN, which is now available for pre-order.

I get my second covid vaccine this weekend, and I'm not sure how my body will react to this one, so I may be a little slow getting to your posts, but I will visit.

Set-up: Last weekend, Hayden realized Envi had returned, but he flew away instead of talking to him.

This weekend, I'm skipping ahead again. Hayden and Envi have reunited and spent time together, but Hayden believes that when Envi's cottage is sold, the singer will return to Saramto and forget about him again. Envi has other ideas. Enjoy! (This is in Hayden's point of view.)

“I am going back to Saramto. The cottage sold, and I have to get back and work on a project for another artist. But I want you to come with me this time. I don’t want to leave you behind.”

“I can’t.” The words blurted from my mouth before my heart could stop them.

“Why?” He flicked his finger under my chin and made me look up at him. “What’s keeping you here still?”

“My job.” I turned my head away, trying hard to think of other reasons. “And I’m not exactly fit for your lifestyle.”

**And here's a little more...**

He took my hands in his, slowly letting go of me. This was it. Our second last goodbye.

“You work at a job that doesn’t pay enough for you to take care of yourself, let alone a child. Let me take care of you. And it doesn’t matter to me what anyone else thinks.”

“But I can’t ask you to do that.” I didn’t want his pity, or for him to feel somehow obligated to take care of me. I’d make do on my own, somehow. I’d survived this long by myself.

“You haven’t asked me for anything, Hayden.” He brought my hands up to his lips and kissed each of them. “I’m asking you to come with me. Again. Only, this time, I’m hoping for a different answer.”

MEMORIES OF US
Shifter Towers book six

Part of SPECIAL DELIVERY: SUMMER

Envi gave up on the idea of claiming a mate long ago. Once upon a time he'd believed he'd found his perfect other half, but their dreams took them in different directions. Now, Envi dedicates his life to making music.

When his uncle passes away, and he is willed the man's cottage, Envi must return to the wetland park where he vacationed for much of his teenage years. The place where he crushed on the same omega for several summers before he became Envi's first love. But there's no way the omega he'd loved and lost still lives there. Or, maybe he does....

Memories of Us features an alpha jaguar shifter who never got over his first love, and a pregnant omega dragonfly shifter with no money and no one to turn to. It is the sixth book in the MPreg MM Shifter Popstar Romance series by USA Today Bestselling Author Jessica E. Subject, and contains her sweetest happily ever after yet.

  4. Come'on Hayden, say yes! This is a such a sweet scene, Jessica!

Hoping the best for no reactions to your 2nd shot. I had a fever for a couple of hours (that means the first shot worked, right?) and local swelling and bruising. Minimal discomfort considering the protection I got from it.

  5. I find myself really invested in his answers. Say yes, idiot!

Neither my wife nor I had any reactions to the second shot -- other than relief, that is. However, my eldest son had a fever that lasted several days. I don't know what vaccine that was, though. It was whatever they're using in Amsterdam, so probably you didn't get the same brand.

  6. He'd better say yes! Pride is a very cold bedfellow. Great snippet!
