To get his face painted or not... Read a snippet from PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE #romance #MMromance #MPreg #PNR #8Sunday

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to everyone who visited me last weekend! This weekend, I'm continuing with a snippet from the third story in my Shifter Towers series, PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE. It's an MM MPreg Shifter Romance. The story is available in both ebook and print.

*AUTHORS GIVE BACK SALE - find a selection of my books available FREE at Smashwords for a limited time. All information and links can be found on this post.

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Milo was holding a spot in line for his nieces to get their faces painted. But it's his turn, and his nieces aren't back yet. Now, Milo must decide whether to go to Yoni's face painting booth or not. (punctuation changed to fit the 10 sentence limit)

I pushed the stroller over to him, not sure what I should do or say; I didn’t want my face painted, was just holding a place in line.

“Um, hi.” I needed to tell him the situation but couldn’t seem to form the words. Why could I suddenly not talk to him?

“Hi, it’s good to see you again.” His smile was so wide. “I wanted to come over and talk when I saw you earlier, but I had to come here.”

“Okay.” I nodded, unable to calm my nerves; and why was I suddenly nervous around him?

“So, am I painting your face or your son’s?”

**Remember, Odega is sleeping in the stroller. What do you think Milo will decide?**

PIKA OMEGA PLUS ONE
Shifter Towers book three

Milo
My mate died in a horrible car crash the night after he claimed me. I didn’t know I was pregnant with his child until he was buried in the ground. Luckily, my brother and his family supported me through it all. Now, it’s time for me to earn my keep. I’m going back to work. Not only to earn money, but to have a social life again. Even if just during the hours I’m at my job. Because I’m nowhere near ready for another relationship. Not sure I ever will be.

Yoni
I moved to Saramto to take a paid intern position at the local news station. My first time living in such a big city. And as the time limit on my contract kept looming closer, I hoped to come across something to keep me here. Nothing did. Until I met Milo and his adorable son. Now, I want them to be mine and I have no desire to leave. But my time is drawing near. While I pray for some miracle to come along and let me stay, I must find a way to tell Milo I have to go.

Pika Omega Plus One is a sweet with knotty heat shifter mm mpreg romance. It is book three in the popular Shifter Towers Series.

  1. I vote yes. He'd show he's a good sport if he gets his face painted, plus it'd allow for some intimate moments.

  2. Your story is remarkable. Your characters are charming. More-I want more.

  3. Getting face painted means the person must be close - close equals intimate - waking a sleeping baby is never a good idea. So I'm voting for Milo.

  4. I guess Milo should go for it, unless that last question puts him off.

    1. Milo is too nervous at this point to be put off. ;)

  5. Never wake a sleeping baby LOL - hopefully your hero knows that rule! So I'd guess it has to be his face that gets painted. Fun snippet.

  6. I suspect he's going to get his face painted--or his nieces are going to arrive in the nick of time. But, yeah, not going to wake a sleeping baby. :) Very fun scene.

  7. LOL! No parent wakes up a sleeping child. Won't Odega be surprised by a new look on his dad. (Hopefully not in a scared way!)

  8. Go for it, Milo. Don't wake the baby. LOL

  9. It can take so long for babies to fall asleep; waking them unnecessarily is never a good idea!

  10. I think that Milo is about to get his face painted! :-) Nice progression of their early stages of noticing each other!

  13. He’s nervous. How cute! I think he’ll get his own face painted so he doesn’t wake the baby :)

    Keep smiling,
