At the spaceport, waiting for his shuttle to arrive ~ Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #SciFiRomance #MMRomance #Romance

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Hello everyone! Thank you to all those who came to visit me last weekend! This weekend, I'm sharing another snippet from GENJ, the second book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. I'm happy to announce this story has been contracted to Decadent Publishing and will likely release in late February.

Set-up: Last weekend, Vawn gave Utahn a pep talk before leaving for Eurebly to visit Genj for the weekend. Now, we're back in Genj's point of view. He's at the spaceport, waiting for Utahn to arrive. Enjoy!

With a deep breath, I tried to control my nerves. The shuttle had finally landed. I’d been rocking on my heels and twirling my thumbs for the last thirty minutes. No race had ever made me as nervous as I was at this moment. Most of the other racers waiting for the flight from quadrant one sat on the benches while scrolling through their comm units. Likely waiting for those with whom they had well established relationships. Family and long-time friends.

Not me. I couldn’t keep still. Utahn, my childhood, teenage, and adult crush, was coming to Eurebly for the weekend. To see me. It was a dream come true. As long as he actually came. What if he’d changed his mind, decided I wasn’t worth the trip?

This is my mood board for Genj

GENJ
Kaddim Brothers book two

Genj is a cinnamon roll alpha. Even as one of the circuit’s best space racers, he’s shy and rather clumsy. Not qualities anyone wants in a mate, especially the omega he’s crushed on for years. But when Genj invites Utahn on a whim to visit him for a weekend, he’s surprised the omega agrees.

Utahn never expected his best friend’s older brother to reciprocate his feelings. Genj is a space racer, and everyone in the universe knows they rarely commit. When the two get together, sparks fly. And what once seemed impossible becomes a dream come true.

But situations change. And past relationships have a way of interfering with new ones. Can Genj and Utahn work through past traumas, or were they never meant to be more than a childhood crush?

  1. His nervousness is so endearing. Great peak inside his insecurities (even warriors and gods have them!). It says a lot about his feelings for Genj, setting him apart from other 'relationships.'

  4. I doubt he'll have changed his mind, but I have a strong suspicion things won't be as rosy or go as smoothly as either of them would like!

  9. His insecurity is surprising, yet understandable. I hope he calms down enough that Utahn doesn't see it. It might not set well with him if he thought Genj doubted him. Great snippet! Tweeted.
