Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to all those who visited last weekend! This weekend, I'm returning to sharing snippets from VAWN, the first book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS.
Set-up: In the last snippet I shared from VAWN, Ojo was at the club and wasn't happy about watching Vawn dance with someone else, especially since the other person was friends with his rival from another team. So, Ojo decided to try and pick up the being that his teammate, Ret, was flirting with.
This weekend I'm continuing immediately after last weekend's snippet. Enjoy!
I slid off the stool and headed in the direction of the oldest member of my team. But before I made it to his table, someone grabbed my arm and spun me around. It was Laup, my nemesis.
“Don’t think because my friend likes that Kaddim boy that anything changes between us. I’m always going to be coming for your ass.”
I yanked my arm from him and shoved him away. “That’s right. All you’ll ever see is my ass because you’ll always be behind me. And if there’s any coming happening, it will be from Vawn after I fuck him delirious. Your friend doesn’t stand a chance with him.”
**And a little bit more...**
Changing my destination, I headed for the dance floor. I could piss off Ret and Laup all in one go. And get the guy I actually wanted.
Xac, Qé, and Vawn were bopping around to the beat of the current song, the friend of Laup waiting in the sidelines. With his arms crossed, and stare fixed on my teammates’ brother, he looked like he was waiting to get in another dance and more. But I wouldn’t allow it. I wanted Vawn in my bed tonight.
VAWN
Kaddim Brothers book one
Vawn doesn’t need a mate. He’s already established himself universe-wide as a hot name in fashion, while raising his daughter. But he won’t say no to a fling with a hot space racer when he travels to Eurebly to visit his brothers. One night. That’s all he can give. Because his heart shattered when he lost his previous alpha, and he hasn’t been able to repair it completely. He refuses to love someone like that ever again.
Ojokun survived on Jenegath in order to leave the planet and become the best space racer in the universe. Though he flies with a team, he’s never depended on anyone outside of his jet. He keeps to himself. Has one-night stands, just like every other space racer. But, after a mind-blowing night with the brother of two of his teammates, he can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous omega, or the foreign longing that scares him more than his overly-protective teammates.
Can Ojokun convince Vawn that he wants more than one night? Or is that all they were ever meant to be?

Love his determination! Oh, and your cover is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Julie!
DeleteIt is good to be focused and on a goal - and he sure is.
ReplyDeleteTweeted.
That he is. Thank you, Daryl!
DeleteGood - he's making a move.
ReplyDeleteThat's his goal, anyway.
DeleteFun snippet. I like that Ojo is going after what he wants now instead of deflecting, but his approach might be a tad aggressive. Vawn might turn and run!
ReplyDeleteAh, but Vawn has a very strong personality, too.
DeleteYou sure can get into trouble on the dance floor LOL. Enjoyed the snippet!
ReplyDeleteVery true! Thank you, Veronica!
DeleteNo man is going to stand in his way!
ReplyDeleteLove this line: "All you’ll ever see is my ass because you’ll always be behind me."
He talks a big game, but will he follow through?
DeleteNice. He's making his move.
ReplyDeleteThat's his goal...
