Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
I missed last weekend, as I wasn't sure how I would feel after getting my first Covid-19 vaccine, and I also watched two digital online concerts. I took it very easy last weekend. But, I'm back with a new excerpt for you!
I'm going to switch stories for a bit. Both VAWN and MEMORIES OF US will be coming out soon, but I don't know the exact due dates. Memories of Us is another Shifter Towers stories, so a Gay MPreg Paranormal Romance. It is Envi's story, and it will be part of an anthology releasing soon. But, I'm actually going to share a snippet from HIS OMEGA ON STAGE, the story were Envi is introduced in person for the first time.
Set-up: Ash (AI), TK, and Envi are on tour together. After their first tour stop, they are having dinner with each other and a lot of their crew. This is in Ash's point of view. Enjoy!
Envi arrived a short time later, heading to the back corner of the room with his phone pressed to his ear. Though the jaguar alpha was nice, and always helped me out when I asked, he was a private person. Very few people knew anything about his personal life, and I wasn’t one of them. I had no idea if he had a family or lived alone. Though my apartment was in the same building as his, I rarely saw him away from work, and never with anyone else.
TK, on the other hand, came down to my apartment, or invited Jun and I up to his penthouse at least once a week. So, I wasn’t surprised when he entered the banquet room, talking to his family on video chat. I didn’t see Jun with him, but I didn’t have time to ask where he was. TK plopped onto the chair beside me and shoved his phone in front of me. “Look, it’s Ash. Say hi!”
HIS OMEGA ON STAGE
Shifter Towers book four
Jun
For leopard cat shifter, Jun, being the rogue alpha in high school hadn’t helped him as an adult. Though he sometimes believed he was ready to find a mate, past experiences taught him that those he loves eventually leave him. So, he protects his heart by seeing omegas looking for nothing more than a one-night stand. Until he runs into someone from his past.
Ash
As the first omega signed to Adan Records, AI is anxious for the release of his debut album. Being a leopard cat shifter instead of an actual leopard like the rest of his family has always made him feel small and insignificant. But now he’s about to shine bright in front of the world, all on his own, without an alpha by his side. He doesn’t need one, and definitely doesn’t have time for one. Though when he runs into someone from his past who knows him as Ash, he wants to give this alpha all of his attention.
On Stage
But with all the problems that fame brings, will Ash be able to make a relationship work? Will Jun fight for the omega he’s sure is his fated mate? Or will they let each other slip away, believing what they have isn’t enough?NOW AVAILABLE!

Well, Ash can't very well ignore this call. :-) Good snippet! Congrats on the releases!
ReplyDeleteHope the shot went well. My first was without a hitch. My second, two days of chills and fever, fatigue, and my arm swelled for four days with a red welt about 5 inches diameter. I work with a girl who said the first shot was like that for her, then nothing on the second. No rhyme or reason, huh? :-)
Thank you, Teresa!
DeleteOur vaccines went well! A few side effects, but not much beyond a really sore arm, a headache, and fatigue. I've heard about all kinds of reactions, so I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens when the time comes to get the second one.
Envi sounds like an interesting guy, if you can get to know him. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great description of him!
DeleteLove the brief descriptions of each. This is going to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it thru the covid shot. Younger people have a hard time, esp. with the 2nd shot. One of the perks of being old. LOL No effects.
Thank you, Diane!
DeleteFrom what I've heard and seen, there really is no one factor to indicate how someone will react to their vaccine. Age may be a factor, but not always. Also depends on the brand/type of shot, your overall health, and how well your body reacts to immunizations. I'm hoping my reaction to the second won't be any worse than the first.
Envi seems to be quite a mystery man. For someone so private, I wonder if there's a secret trauma he's hiding? But he sounds like great material for an alpha hero!
ReplyDeleteHe is a very private person. But, Jun does get to know him a little better in the time span between the two stories.
DeleteEnjoyed the excerpt, a good introduction to the character!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jean!
DeleteEveryone on their phones - sounds like dinner in real life!
ReplyDeleteYep, since they can handle business and their personal life on it, they don't go anywhere without it.
DeleteSo true to life - everyone on their phones. And a great intro to Envi. Sounds like a fascinating character.
ReplyDeleteTweeted.
Thank you, Daryl!
DeleteMy wife and I both felt less than great after the first show, but only for a day. Neither of us noticed anything after the second shot, though.
ReplyDeleteYes, our reactions didn't last past the first day, either. Glad the second vaccine went much better for you both!
DeleteI'm very curious about Envi now.
ReplyDeleteI guess Ash will have to say something. lol
ReplyDeleteMy first COVID shot, I had a horrible headache and didn't feel good for part of the day. The second shot I had flu-like symptons. Chills and aches but not so bad to keep me in bed. Just felt yucky all day. Next day I was fine. Hope your second shot goes well.
