Dangerous shifter or concerned alpha? Read a snippet from BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN #LGBTQ #MPreg #romance

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all of you who visited my post last weekend! I'm continuing with more BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN, an MPreg Omegaverse Pop Star Shifter Romance, which will be published with Decadent Publishing.

Set-up: Last weekend, Kish was being held in the arms of the person he ran into. And the man told Kish he wouldn't hurt him. This snippet continues from there. (edited to fit)

And that’s when I smelled the wild, rugged scent. A predator. Not the human who had been chasing me, but a tiger. I was in the arms of one of the most dangerous types of shifters in the world. But when I dared a glance up into his eyes, I only saw a concerned alpha. One whom I instantly recognized. TK, the pop star dominating all of the music charts. I had no idea he wasn’t human.

Filled with a new fear, I slowly backed away. Being anywhere near the star, I’d have more than one man with a gun after me; if he didn’t take me out, someone else would.

Bunny Omega on the Run (Shifter Towers book one):

As a pop star, I never expected to find true love. Not in a world where everything is temporary and often fake. But then he ran into me. Not once, but twice. My tiger instantly recognized him as my mate. Now, I just have to convince Kish that what we have is real.

The oldest of ten kids, I saw what my mother went through after my father left. After that, I started taking blockers so I would never go into heat, never have kids. Because love was for the weak. And I was doing just fine on my own.

Then I met TK. Literally smacked right into him. But no matter how much I wanted it to be true, I refused to believe that he could love a bunny shifter from the wrong part of town.

  1. She doesn't know he's a shifter? Then the pop star is missing a trick. Just imagine how his fans would love to see him turn into a tiger on-stage!

    1. TKs fans know he's a shifter. Kish (he/him) isn't a fan. He's only heard of him from brief media coverage he caught. And in this world, there are rules about shifting. Especially predators such as TK.

  2. That would be quite a surprise indeed!

  6. This poor character cannot seem to win, no matter what! Even a clinch with a big name star is fraught with dangers...so I'm hooked LOL. Great snippet!

  7. Oh boy! The proverbial out of the frying pan, into the fire. Or the lady or the tiger, although in this case the killer or the tiger. Great tension in the snippet. I love Kish's voice!

  8. I can see why a bunny might be a teensy bit afraid of a tiger. This has been a great opening. Can't wait to read more.

  9. Bunny meets tiger. Definitely not expecting to end well. BTW, just wondering - at your mention of TK as an alpha, does the "omega" of "bunny omega" show his place in the pecking order? i.e. bottom of the heap" I just thought it was a random-ish name.

    1. You might be surprised how it ends. 😉 And yes, alpha and omega refer to their place in society, but it doesn't always apply.
