Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to all of you who visited my post last weekend! I'm continuing with more BUNNY OMEGA ON THE RUN, an MPreg Omegaverse Pop Star Shifter Romance, which will be published with Decadent Publishing.
Set-up: Last weekend, Kish realized the man he'd run into was the global pop star, TK, and starts to back away from him. This snippet continues from there. (creative punctuation used to fit)
I didn’t answer. Behind TK, men in black suits—not cheap knock offs like my pursuer had worn, but actual designer brands—eyed me, waiting for me to do something stupid.
Needing to prove I was no harm, I shifted. In my shifted form, there was no way I could harm their charge.
I expected to fall to the ground and hop away, but TK didn’t let go of me. He held my scruff. “Oh my, you are the most gorgeous bunny I have ever seen. Just as beautiful as when you were in your human form.”
Bunny Omega on the Run (Shifter Towers book one):
As a pop star, I never expected to find true love. Not in a world where everything is temporary and often fake. But then he ran into me. Not once, but twice. My tiger instantly recognized him as my mate. Now, I just have to convince Kish that what we have is real.
The oldest of ten kids, I saw what my mother went through after my father left. After that, I started taking blockers so I would never go into heat, never have kids. Because love was for the weak. And I was doing just fine on my own.
Then I met TK. Literally smacked right into him. But no matter how much I wanted it to be true, I refused to believe that he could love a bunny shifter from the wrong part of town.

A shifter who's a bunny? What a pleasant switch!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like to change things up a bit in my stories. While there are your "typical" shifter types in this story as extra characters, all the main characters in this series are far from your "typical" shifter type.
DeleteQuite a compliment. A cute bunny in fact!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed! 😁
DeleteSorry, my inner voice kept saying "I could just eat you up"! :)
ReplyDeleteBut it sounds like Bunny has found a friend.
LOL He's still unsure whether to trust him. Perhaps not a friend, but an ally for the moment.
DeleteWoohoo! He thinks he's beautiful. THAT is a great start. :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, though Kish has no idea how to take that.
DeleteI too was thinking "Gorgeous...and delicious!" but I guess it's against shifter code to eat somebody. Fun snippet.
ReplyDeleteEat, yes. Though that doesn't mean they wouldn't attack. Thanks, Alexis!
DeleteAwww, that's so cute! Also, I forgot to change the time on my post, but it's live now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amy!
DeleteCuteness always counts. Nifty writing with a lot of charm.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Charmaine!
DeleteDo I detect a bit of interest here? Sounds like TK is smitten with the bunny--and the man. So interested to see what TK is going to do to the 'suits." Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteYes, definite interest on TK's part. Thank you, Jenna!! 😊
DeleteLoved the snippet, very cute! Can't wait to read more...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Veronica!
DeleteA Shifter bunny... that's interesting.
ReplyDeleteYep. All kinds of shifters in this world. :)
DeleteLOL at the guy holding the bunny. That must have been quite a surprise.
