Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Thank you to all of you who visited me last weekend! MINK OMEGA IN HIDING is an MM paranormal romance, the second book in my Shifter Towers series. This will likely be my last snippet from this story.
Set-up: In last weekend's snippet, Hansol was very upset because he couldn't find any trace of Roan. Well, he's back at work, but he broke down in the shower, where his friend and client, Kish, found him. They're talking when Hansol received a phone call from a Dr. Betaeus. Turns out, it was Roan on the other end.
My heart stopped. All the blood rushed away from my head. If I hadn’t been sitting already, I would have needed to. “Roan? Where are you?”
“Gitown. I’m at the clinic near the omega shelter.” His voice was shaky.
I didn’t know how to react, whether to be mad that he was so far away and demand he come home, or to try and act calm even though I was far from it. Kish rubbed my shoulder blade before standing and heading out of the changing room.
**Above is ten sentences. If you'd like to keep reading more of this snippet, you can find it below.**
“What are you doing there?” Although I wasn’t sure I really wanted to know the answer. Not if he ran all the way there to get away from me. “What happened?”
“They brought me here to question me about Tuan. Then they released me without giving me a ride back to Saramto, or even a chance to call you.” His voice was so high-pitched and quiet at the end I barely heard what he’d said.
“Oh, Roan, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know. I’ll come get you right now.” Nothing would stop me from seeing him again.
“Wait.” I heard him take a deep breath. “There’s something you need to know first. Meet me here tomorrow at Doctor Betaeus’s clinic at three p.m. I’ll tell you at that time and then you can decide if you want to have me back.”

Shifter Towers book two
Roan is looking for a way out...
As a mink shifter omega, I never thought I’d escape the soul-crushing, gang-ruled world I lived in. But, one night on my way home from working at the strip club, the opportunity arose. I needed to find a place to hide, somewhere I could go where no one from this life would ever find me. Someplace I could start over. With my parents deceased, I only had one person from my past I could ask for help. But would he want to see me again?
Hansol has everything in his life, except his mate…
After two years of running a successful fitness center with celebrities as my personal clients and friends, one would think I had everything I’ve ever wanted. But I don’t. The one thing I still desire is to have my mate by my side. Something my sun bear keeps reminding me of every day. Sure, I’ve had plenty of omegas and other alphas in my bed, but no one I want to wake up with each morning. That person left my life years ago with no explanation and no goodbye.
Will they find their way back to each other?
Then Roan shows up on my doorstep, soaking wet, and with no belongings. Of course, I take him in. But I don’t know how long I have until he leaves again. Can I trust him this time? Can I finally claim him as my mate? Or am I holding onto false hope? Because I know there is something he is keeping from me.
Mink Omega in Hiding is a super sweet with knotty heat shifter M/M mpreg romance featuring a mink shifter escaping horrific abuse, a reconnection with an alpha friend from the past who stands between him and danger, and the discovery of what really could happen between them. It is the second book in the popular Shifter Towers series and can be read as a standalone.
