After training conversation. Read a snippet from MINK OMEGA IN HIDING #WeWriWa #MPreg #PNR #romance #LGBTQ

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!

Thank you to all of you who visited me last weekend! MINK OMEGA IN HIDING is the second book in my Shifter Towers series, and will be releasing soon through Decadent Publishing.

Set-up: In last weekend's snippet. Roan hopped on the bus heading to Saramto, a place he hadn't been in a long time. Now, I'm switching to the point of view of Hansol, a sun bear shifter who owns his own gym in Saramto. And he happens to have several celebrity clients, including TK and Kish from Bunny Omega on the Run. The first line is TK talking. They have just finished TK's training session.

“Hey, you ever think about having kids? Gabrielle and Gareth can’t get enough of you. You’d make a great dad.”

If he wasn’t a friend on top of being a client, I would never answer such a personal question. But I couldn’t avoid answering TK. “Gotta find the right mate first.”

He chuckled. “You mean a hot alpha like you, who owns his own business, doesn’t have any prospects?”

“Oh, I have plenty of offers. I just haven’t found the right one.”

Mink Omega in Hiding
Shifter Towers book two

Roan is looking for a way out...

As a mink shifter omega, I never thought I’d escape the soul-crushing gang-ruled world I lived in. But one night on my way home from working at the strip club, the opportunity arose. I just needed to find a place to hide, somewhere I could go where no one from this life would ever find me. Some place I could start over. With my parents deceased, I only had one other person from my past I could ask for help. But would he want to see me again?

Hansol has everything in his life, except his mate…

After two years of running a successful fitness center with celebrities as my personal clients and friends, one would think I had everything I’ve ever wanted. But I don’t. The one thing I still desire is to have my mate by my side. Something my sun bear keeps reminding me of every day. Sure, I’ve had plenty of omegas and other alphas in my bed, but no one I want to wake up with each morning. That person left my life years ago with no explanation and no goodbye.

Will they find their way back to each other?

Then he shows up on my doorstep, soaking wet, and with no belongings. Of course, I take him in. But I don’t know how long I have until he leaves again. Can I trust him this time? Can I finally claim him as my mate? Or am I holding onto false hope? Because I know there is something he is keeping from me.

Coming Soon!

  1. Jessica, your story gets better and better-so real in your own way.

  2. At least he's waiting for the right mate rather than scattering offspring about willy nilly. He has standards, then. Good.

  3. Even the rich, powerful, and famous can have a hard time finding the perfect partner. The right person is worth waiting for.

  5. Maybe TK can provide some advice on where to find a mate--in unusual rather than usual places.I love it when characters from other books make cameos!

    1. TK does, but Hansol isn't interested. He already has someone else in mind. TK and Kish have more than just cameo appearances in this book. But in later stories in this series, it will be mostly cameos for previous characters.

  6. Not yet . . . but I'm thinking pretty darn soon. At least he's open to the suggestion.

    1. He already has. He just doesn't want to tell TK. But, TK and Kish already have come to their own conclusion about the whole idea.

  7. That question put him in a tricky position. It's too personal yet he can't offend his client. Yikes! Good answer, though.
